How Do I Help?
- Educate yourself on the pro's and con's
of pesticide use and make an informed decision
regarding their potential dangers.
- Spread the word: create community awareness.
Talk to your neighbours and friends.
- Display a lawn sign indicating to
others that your lawn is pesticide free. Contact
the Campaign Coordinator
for information on how to obtain your free lawn sign.
- Take small steps towards naturalizing
your lawn. Start with a visit to a local native
species nursury. In addition to not requiring pesticides,
native species plants also require little maintenance
or watering once in place.
- To find out what you can do in
your city, go to the Chinook Group of the Sierra Club
ooof Canada's web site www.sierraclubchinook.org

Remember:
The most effective way to assist in the campaign promoting
the education of pesticide use is simply to talk about it.
As community awareness on this issue spreads, pesticide alternatives
will become the norm rather than the exception.
